New Odoo 14 Website features
Lots of work has been done in the new version of the Odoo website in version 14.

The general toolbox in edit mode was greatly extended, configurations for all elements are now placed in the left corner and allow to choose dozens of new customization options (fonts, colors, margins, style). The new edit column contains, on average, for every element, 50% more customization options if confronted to v13. These options have better layout, and cover a large amount of options previously accessible only using the CSS language.

V13 Options for a text-image section
V14 options for a text section.

Theme colors: once you chose your theme you have the possibility to change color palette, layout, background, fonts and several other look and feel parameters that once required specific CSS code to obtain.

Blocks are extended as well, fine tuning the block was never as easy. Once you select the block the right edit column will populate with all the personalization options available for that snippet.

Dynamic content
: finally one of the most requested features. You can create blocks that display records directly connected to backend information. Dynamic snippets allow the customer to display backend model information on the website, without resorting to ad-hoc development.

Dynamic snippet and Dynamic carousel can create respectively a snippet or a carousel connected to a back end model.
I can set up my building block to display, blog posts, events, job openings,  or products, or any other odoo model, specify the amount, and also dynamically impose rules such as "show last 3".

Dynamic forms are also available in the website builder. with every field in the form customizable with the most common form features, mandatory fields, validation, all without any programming required. You can customize what will your form do after submission, create leads, mails and redirect to specific pages.

If the improved customization is not enough, there is now code injection, we can select an element and write HTML code to inject directly in to it. These changes will be kept after every update.

This iteration of the website is a big step forward in creating a user friendly website builder on par with dedicated web builder products.
Several other snippets have been added, like countdown, heading, numbers and media list.

Responsive behavior is even more customizable, every element will be adapted to screen size, but the user has also the option to hide some elements from the mobile version, by selecting a simple option in the interface.

This major improvement allows integrators and customers to consider the Odoo website as a viable option for most projects with average customization needs.
The power to customize in a very detailed way your own website, can end endless discussions between webdesigners and customers, giving the end user more power to create websites integrating with their ERP system.
